WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Solving the case of
the missing pin may not be the last thing Jason Roberts ever does, but it might
be the most painful, even more painful than the car accident that killed his
dad and left his memory scrambled.
The school year has
barely started, and
It's
bad enough his brain doesn't work like everyone else's. It's even worse when
the only tool you have to remember things is a box of vanilla wafer cookies.
Not exactly the best way to make friends in a new school when you have to act
things out like you're in kindergarten.
Now
Jason has to use his banged-up brain to find a missing pin belonging to the
nastiest bully in fifth grade, and he's not only nasty because he's mean. The
other kids don't call him "Barnyard" for nothing. Jason has to find
it because, as far as Barnyard's concerned, Jason is the number one suspect.
Jason
has until the end of the week to figure out what really happened to the pin.
Otherwise, Barnyard and his buddies will do to him what they love to do best.
Rub Jason's face in the dirt. Every day. For the rest of the school year.
